Bloggin'

This network of bloggers that has stemmed from our church has been a very interesting & blessed thing. It's helped me get to know my community in such a profound way. Much quicker certainly than if we only had Sundays as our chance to see each other. I feel as I travel thru the blog-dom, I learn so much -- not only by what is written, but how it's written. For some it's an open door into every thought that hits them; for some there's more caution; others are lengthy & significant in content, while others are brief yet rich with depth. I love this opportunity to love & learn...

Just out of curiosity, how do you see yourself using this thing called "blogging?" Give me your thoughts so I can continue to learn more.

I have used it so far as a much needed way to connect to others on a deeper level, but also to vent my feelings...almost like purging my various thoughts and such. I find it almost scary at times..revealing that which would make me safer had I kept it hidden. Also, I find it very freeing to connect on a deeper level with some people. And I love it that my husband started a blog as well...as now I see he is not just staring into blank space so much...(just kidding).

It is also hard being at this intense level publicly all the time. I am intense quite often and am occasionally lighter...but my thoughts seem to bog me down...and letting them out like this has made me feel lighter. I love the safety in speaking openly about God as well.

That is what it has been for me in a nutshell.

I also love reading what other people are going through, be it serious and dramatic or about their son's poop talk. I love it all.

I love it for same reasons that you do, Teresa. As far as the tribe's blogging goes, anyway. I love that we can keep so tight and up to date, literally, because of our writing. It's easier and a on a little different level than if we were talking on the phones or face to face.

I do feel that you aren't blogging nearly enough for me though. =)

When it comes to the blogs I read outside of "the tribe" =), I LOVE looking in from the outside. Yes, there is an audiance analysis that takes place for any blogger, but it's highly unlikely that I am the special person the writer always conciders the most when they blog...so it's like looking when no one knows you're there. I love that.(Now, how do you feel about being my neighbor. =))

I would PAY to read some people journals. Blogging is like a personal online journal. Ahhhh! The Lord is good for inventing the Blog. =)

It keeps my own mind dog-paddling above the mental sludge. A thought , a feeling can actually be documented, or questioned or encouraged. Love the mental networking.

i love it. it gives you time to talk and discuss deeper issues without the nuesense of emotional responses and off the cuff remarks.
